A long-term project of the Arid Lands Institute took an important step forward over the 2019-2020 school year.
Our goal is to optimize city surfaces for stormwater capture and aquifer replenishment. To do so, we need to know where, exactly, to prioritize investment in green infrastructure, and with what expected benefits? With the support of the Latrobe Research Prize, we've made big progress, and we're looking for opportunities to test our work (and support yours).

In 2000, we returned to Los Angeles at the tail end of a Graham Foundation grant spent criss-crossing the west, photographing water infrastructures, ancient and modern.
