Canalscape: Nan Ellin, PhD
Nan Ellin, PhD, is chair of Metropolitan Planning in the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Utah and former director of the planning program at Arizona State University. She received her masters in anthropology and her doctorate in planning from Columbia University. Her book, Integral Urbanism, was published by Routledge in 2006. Canalscape is an on- going urban design project that uses a network of 1,000-year-old Hohokam canals to remake public spaces throughout modern Phoenix.
